LARGE DANISH PIKE CAUGHT FROM FISHING KAYAK 15.86KG

Dennis from our Danish team has caught an awesome pike of a whopping 15.85 Kg!!

Read in his own words how he managed to catch this pike from his Hobie Pro Angler 12 360 and with marine electronics from Garmin .

I had been fishing for a long time in an area that I thought would hold fish, and potentially a big one too. No cuts!

Until she decided to strike, and BOOM! The fight was on and after a few minutes I could calmly slide her into the net... There she was! There I sat!! We stared into each other's eyes and I think about how the next few minutes would go…

15.85 kilos is not easy to handle in a Hobie Pro Angler 12. However, I managed to get a couple of trophy shots in the process, before releasing her right back into the blue!

What a crazy experience!

I had been using my Garmin Echomap Ultra 102sv to keep an eye on the bottom and look for fish to try to catch.

This one though, I didn't see until she was right in front of me... WOW!

Tip: When fishing for potentially very large fish, keep your deck clear of baits and things that can be a problem when handling the fish. Think through the scenario before you fish, so nothing comes as a surprise or becomes a problem later.
