The NAC-3 is the heart of the autopilot system and contains the electronics needed to control and interact with other important components. The NAC-3 is made for boats ten meters (35 feet) or longer and can control high current pumps, mechanical drives and solenoid valves.

Power current
The NAC-3 autopilot computer is recommended for boats longer than 10 meters (35 feet). It is rated for use with high current drive pumps.

Virtual rudder position sensor
Lowrance Virtual Rudder Feedback (VRF) technology eliminates the need to install a separate rudder position sensor unit aboard boats with planing hulls and outboard motors or drives. It makes the autopilot system cheaper and simpler, and is ideal where a position sensor is impractical due to mechanical limitations.

Simple installation
NMEA 2000® networking and industry-standard NMEA 0183® input enable easy connection to heading sensors, rudder position transducers, autopilot controllers and multifunction displays anywhere on board.
