With Panoptix Forward you can see the bottom, structures and fish swimming around in front of the boat - in real time and even when the boat is stationary. You get two impressive views: LiveVĂŒ Forward and RealVĂŒ 3D Forward.

LiveVĂŒ Forward updates the entire view with a single ping and has a more real-time appearance when displaying moving sonar images in real-time. You can see fish swimming towards or away from the boat. You can see small fish and big fish swimming around, and even the drag when you reel it in.

RealVĂŒ 3D Forward updates a slice of the 3D area for each ping and needs 1-4 seconds to update the entire sector. It shows the bottom and the fish in the water column coming towards the boat. It swipes forward, and the history on the screen contains only one swipe.

Garmin is the first to provide sonar images from Panoptix to your boat. The Panoptix sonar sees everything and is like nothing else you've seen. It gives you the opportunity to see around the entire boat in real time. You can see fish in the water column in 3D. You can also see the line you cast in the water and follow it as you reel it in. You can see fish swimming in front of or under the boat. You can even see it chasing your move. But to get a truly clear picture of Panoptix, you have to experience it. Mounting kit for transom to sensor includedÂč.

The forward transom transducer must be mounted in a location above the water at speeds above 32 km/h (20 mph). If it sits below the surface of the water, cruising speeds above 40 km/h (25 mph) should be avoided. The sensor can generate resistance and splash water at higher speeds, which can cause the sensor element to rotate in the mount. Mount the transducer firmly in a safe place on the boat. Be careful with placement to avoid damage to the boat. If in doubt, contact a professional marine installer
