As simple as some one, two, three Mercury GTX is the next model in our incredibly successful series of modular kayak models. A Touring kayak for more advanced paddling and for longer trips. A faster kayak that is stable at the same time with several innovative functions and the unique Snap Tap assembly system.

The Mercury GTX Tandem (545cm) is composed of four separate parts whose individual weight is less than 11kg (35kg in total). The 100cm long nose section fits into the cockpit, making it even easier to transport in the boot of your car or store in a wardrobe than our other divisible models despite its extended length. If you remove the middle section, you have a high-performance solo kayak of 415 cm.
The Point 65 Mercury is designed by Magnus de Brito as a full-fledged touring kayak that is fast, safe and easy to maneuver.

Unique rudder system
The Mercury is equipped with a unique rudder system that is integrated into the shape of the kayak. In the rudder itself there is also a built-in fin that can be folded up and down with the new Symmetry skeg system that is used for our spoons in our other models. When you drop the fin, you simultaneously lock the rudder so that it is secured during insertion and removal as well as transport and storage. As the last bit of the hull swings and the fin is under the hull, the rudder gives a significantly better effect than an outboard rudder, which is the most common among rudder kayaks.

The GTX version is equipped with the super comfortable AIR system built into the seat. Using a hand pump in the cockpit, you can pump up the backrest for extra support and comfort.

Super easy to put together and take apart
The Mercury is easy to handle both in the water and on land. With Point 65's patented Snap-Tap system, you take apart and reassemble the kayak in 10 seconds for a safe, stable kayak in durable rotationally molded polyethylene. The Mercury is a fully equipped touring kayak with high performance that you can easily take with you in the tailgate of your car and store in your closet or under the bed. Martinin is stowed just as easily in the boat or caravan.

Now you no longer need two kayaks
Remove the center section and your two-man kayak becomes a one-man kayak in under 10 seconds. With two middle parts, Mercury turns into the world's only three-man kayak. Just invite friends or family members if you feel like it. With even more middle parts, Mercury becomes the perfect event kayak. The record so far? Comfort and simplicity
The Mercury Solo/Tandem has comfortable bucket seats with comfortable seat cushions, bottle holders, an efficient integrated rudder and easily adjustable rudder pedals. With the large oval waterproof pack hatch in the stern and the slightly smaller, round one in the bow, you get everything you need for the adventure. Whether you are going out on a day trip or several overnight stays.

Mercury is a comfortable and stable recreational kayak with plenty of legroom.
