Rebel cell 12V80 Pro

The 12V80 PRO is a powerful battery specially developed as an "all in one" battery: both to start an outboard motor and/or as a power supply for (several) sonar and/or trolling motors. It is simply explained as a "drop-in" replacement for a normal starter/consumable battery and can be charged via the outboard motor.

The 12V80 PRO is well suited for use in cold weather: The frost control function allows you to charge even in sub-zero temperatures. With the handy Rebelcell app, you can monitor charge status, temperature and battery health, among other things, for a worry-free day on the water.

  • ALL IN ONE: Suitable as starter battery and consumer battery for sonar and 12v electric motors.
  • COMPACT & LIGHTWEIGHT: This battery weighs only 10 kg and is 70% lighter than an equivalent lead battery
  • FROST CONTROL: Preheating of the Cells makes it possible to charge the battery in freezing temperatures
  • APP: To see charging, consumption, charging cycles and temperature
  • TOP PERFORMANCE: Deep discharge (down to 100%) without negative effects
  • HIGH EASE OF USE: Charges directly on generator or regular charger, works on all marine electronics and 12v electric motors
  • RELIABLE AND LONG LIFE: Built-in BMS and lifetime up to 15. IP65 Waterproof.
  • WARRANTY: 3 year warranty

12V80 PRO can deliver a starting pulse current of 450A (5s at 15°C). Thanks to the high starting current (even at cold temperatures), the frost control function (allowing charging up to -20°C) and low self-discharge (< 3% per month), the 12V80 PRO is the ideal starting battery for outboards up to 350 hp in all weathers. This versatile powerhouse is well suited for use in cold weather: the Frost Control function allows you to charge even in sub-zero temperatures.

The perfect power source for multiple sonar devices

12V80 PRO can be used with all brands and types of sonar without restrictions (no DC stabilizer needed for sonar). Thanks to the high capacity and built-in charging via your outboard, it is very suitable for powering several large sonar screens throughout the fishing session.

Freeze control: Safe charging in freezing temperatures

Irreversible damage can occur if you try to charge the battery if the cell temperature is below 0°C! The frost control function is automatically activated by the BMS if the cell temperature is below 0°C and a charging current (from generator or charger) is available. The BMS uses the charging current to preheat the cells and increase the temperature and automatically starts charging the cells if the temperature is sufficient. This makes the 12V80 PRO ideal for use in cold weather.

Electric electric motor

The battery can withstand a continuous load of 100A making it suitable for use with all 12V electric motors up to 100 Lbs. Since the battery voltage remains almost constant until the battery is almost empty, you will notice that the pulling force remains high and constant. Using your electric motor in a lower gear can significantly increase your driving time.

Discharge

Discharging the battery is not harmful. The battery is protected by an advanced integrated BMS (battery management system). Charge the battery as soon as possible after full discharge. If the battery is not used for an extended period of time, disconnect all cables from the battery to prevent accidental discharge. Due to low self-discharge (~ 3% per month), the voltage can drop to critical levels and damage the battery.

Charge

Via the outboard generator

When you start your outboard, the battery is charged via the outboard's generator. The voltage regulator in your generator charges the battery with the appropriate charging current and voltage (normal output voltage ~14.4V). The charging current is automatically reduced as the battery is almost charged and stops charging when the battery is full. If the regulator does not work properly, the battery may be damaged.

Via the battery charger

If you do not use your outboard regularly, the generator will not fully charge the battery. In that case, use the recommended Rebelcell 14.6V20A battery charger to charge your battery.

Rebelcell Bluetooth App

The Rebelcell Bluetooth (BT) app is available for both Android and iOS (Apple). The app provides, among other things, the opportunity to see battery capacity, battery status, charge and discharge currents and the number of charge cycles. Read about the Rebelcell BT app in the manual for your new Rebelcell 12v80 Pro
